About us

Maguire Group Inc. has been a leading full-service architectural, engineering and planning firm in the Northeast for over 70 years. Since our founding in Providence, Rhode Island, the Maguire name has remained synonymous with quality and consistency. It has also represented a source of reliability for many clients who understand and appreciate the value of hard work, a spirit of innovation, a commitment to client satisfaction, and a diversity of services that can be brought to bear on projects of any size and scope.

Maguire’s offices are staffed with people who have experience in the areas in which we do business. Our goal is to have our local offices operate as if they were small firms focused solely on their local clients. But they are backed by the resources of our entire firm’s capabilities. As a Maguire Group client, you’ll get that small firm appreciation for customer satisfaction backed by the large firm resources that are needed to meet aggressive construction schedules or that require specialized capability.

What sets Maguire apart is the pride we take in the relationships we have with our clients and our pledge to exceed their expectations in the work we do for them.

Who We Are

Maguire Group Inc.

Carlos A. Duart, President and CEO, Maguire Group Inc.

In June 2009, Carlos A. Duart, president and COO of Miami-based Metric Engineering, purchased the controlling interest of Maguire Corporation. The new president and CEO of Maguire Group has a vision for this venerable New England architectural and engineering firm: go and grow!

Maguire will continue to operate as a separate company with the same key management and technical staff. It will serve as a great complement to Metric’s portfolio of services.  Mr. Duart plans for both firms to do more construction and inspection business and transportation-related ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems). Metric will pursue water/wastewater and architectural services in its home state of Florida as well as CEI in Connecticut. Maguire will be able to expand its offerings as well with the ITS and Emergency Management services in our regions.
